Michael Jace’s murdered wife testified for him during divorce from his prior abusive marriage

On Monday night, The Shield actor, Michael Jace, murdered his wife. Police sources have revealed that Michael shot his wife dead in front of their two kids, who are under 10 years old. It's also been revealed that they argued over money before the murder took place at their LA home. But the most astounding revelation since this murder is that the dead wife, April Jace, defended Michael in his divorce from his ex-wife, an ex-wife he allegedly brutally and repeatedly beat up.

TMZ reports;
Michael Jace was a violent, abusive husband who choked his wife in front of their kid … this according to legal docs from his prior divorce in 1997.
A friend of Jennifer Bitterman claims she personally witnessed Jace choking and slamming Jennifer against a wall as his 6month-old son screamed in his crib next to them.
April Jace -- who was killed by a gunshot at the hands of Michael -- got involved in Michael's messy divorce to his previous wife and defended him to the hilt ... even though there were claims of brutality. Continue.

Sherri Shepherd's Ex: She's the Mom From Hell Our 9-Year-Old Can't Even Tie His Shoes

0515_sherri_shepherd_Jeff-Tarpley_tmz_getty_3Sherri Shepherd is a terrible mom who woefully neglects her 9-year-old special needs son -- he can barely write, Reads at a 2nd-grade level, and can't tie his shoes -- so claims the boy's father, who's now gunning to rip custody from "The View" host.

Jeffrey Tarpley -- Sherri's ex-husband -- filed an emergency request in April to modify the couple's current custody arrangement ... specifically, Tarpley wants full physical custody of their son, Jeffrey Jr.

Tarpley claims Sherri's non-stop work schedule -- "The View," "The Newlywed Game," various TV acting roles, book tours, films -- has caused her to neglect their son completely.

Jeffrey claims Sherri regularly leaves their son with "unskilled nannies" ... as a result, he's falling way behind in school, suffers from low self-esteem, and has to use Velcro shoes because he can't tie laces

Negotiate with Boko Haram - Gov Shettima tells President Jonathan

The Governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima has asked President Jonathan to negotiate with Boko Haram men if that is what it will take to release the abducted Chibok girls. Governor Shettima made this remark during an interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour last night.
"The issue of not negotiation with the terrorists – it’s out of the question. If it means talking to the devil, it means the devil can come down, we can get back our girls. The group that kidnapped the girls are a bunch of raving lunatics.
"Do we have any other option? If I have to talk to the devil to secure the release of the girls, I will do so. President Jonathan did not act on time and did not talk to me over the kidnappings until 19 days after.’’
He also said for the first three weeks after the girls were abducted, the whole thing was politicized.

Also speaking, a woman leader of the All Progressive Party Sharon Ikeazor said the situation could have been salvaged on time if the President had acted immediately. She said the girls had their cellphones with them and had contacted their parents about their abduction.

Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange release statement on elevator fight!

Beyonce and Jay Z are known to not respond to gossip or speculations in the media but I guess this time it's too serious to ignore. The couple just released a statement to Associated Press. Read below
"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.
Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.
The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."

Ibori must face trial for corruption in Nigeria, Appeal Court rules

A Court of Appeal sitting in Benin city the Edo state capital today May 15th ruled that former Delta state Governor James Ibori has a case to answer concerning allegations of financial impropriety and money laundering leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The Judgement was unanimously given by a 3-man panel made up of Justice Ibrhahim Saulawa, Justices P. M Ekpe and H. A Barka.

This ruling comes six years after an Asaba Federal High Court Judge, Marcel Awokulehin, struck out all 170 count charges of money laundering earlier leveled against Mr. Ibori.
This means the ex-governor, who is currently serving jail term in the UK for money laundry, would face another trial when he returns to Nigeria after completing his jail term over there.

Solange attacked Jay Z because he wanted to go to an after-party without Beyonce?

The only people who know why Solange attacked Jay Z on Monday night is Solange, Jay Z, Julius the bodyguard and Beyonce. Others who claim to be insiders can assume what they want, but until the parties involved speak or we get the audio to what was said in that elevator, we will never know.

NY Daily news is claiming the reason real reason Solange attacked Jay Z is because he planned to go to Rihanna's Met Gala after party without Beyonce. (makes no sense to me). Report below ..

The dispute that prompted Beyoncé’s sister to attack Jay Z at a Manhattan hotel centered on the rapper’s wish to keep the party going at a shindig hosted by RiRi, the Daily News has learned.
Tensions were already running high when Jay Z — while walking to the now-infamous Standard Hotel elevator — said he was going to the Rihanna bash rather than heading home with Beyoncé.
“Why can’t you go home?” a drunken Solange Knowles said to her brother-in-law as they left the swanky May 5 Met Gala after-party, a source told The News.
In an interview with Yes! magazine this week, Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar says she is not a runs girl as being peddled around.
"Yes. You all have been guessing about that, but una get strength, why una wan know my guy? Do you know if I have? I laugh when I hear stuff like this. I just laugh at the assumptions. I have always loved being with just one guy. I don't do runs. Because I bought a car, gullible people are saying I do runs. So because I bought a car, I will have to sleep around before I can get it? That's silly. Everyone has become a judge and the main judges don't have work to do again. Please I am too young to be in a hurry to get rich. God can bless you anytime with just one breakthrough, if you are okay, cool and contented" she said. Continue...

Former Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi said he was once a bus conductor as he struggled to make ends meet. Alhaji Abdullahi revealed this while delivering a paper at the annual public lecture of the Association of Business and Social Science Students, University of Ilorin on May 8th.
"I was a bus conductor in Ilorin because I didn’t have money to go to school and I know what poverty means because I grew up with it. We must stop pretending about our problems,” he said.
He urged students to see themselves as economic changers and advised that they become skillfull in any craft that they desire as this would go a long way in solving the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria. "I want to call on our youths to be skilful because you are winners,” he said.

Pistorius sent for psychiatric tests over claims he is 'hyper vigilant' – meaning he could escape murder charge

The judge at the Oscar Pistorius trial has ruled that the double-amputee will be sent for psychiatric evaluation after an expert said that he suffered from an anxiety disorder that gave him 'hyper-vigilance'.

Psychiatrist Dr Merryll Vorster, for the defence, said that Pistorius' condition is linked to his disability and meant that he was prone to fight, rather than take flight, in the presence of perceived danger.
If Pistorius' condition is found to have played a role in the fatal shooting of Reeva Steenkamp in his home on February 14, 2013, then he may escape a murder charge. Continue...

'How I got into the oil business' - Billionaire, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija

One of the world's richest black women, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija has opened up on how she got into the oil business that has made her a billionaire. Speaking during the Women Inspiration & Enterprise WIE event that held two weeks ago, the chairman of Famfa Oil & Gas, said she got into the business through perseverance and hard work
"It was not a planned thing at all. A friend actually contacted me that some people wanted to buy crude oil and she was wondering if I will be able to get them to make the purchase. I got an appointment with the Minister of Petroleum and he told me that it's not the way to go because there wasn't much profit in selling it and because it's a foreign company that Nigeria is imposed at selling its crude to international market. That it will be better to look at other things. I went back to my friend and told her what the Minister said. Then it seemed as if that door was shut but something else came up. I chose not to walk away so I went back to offer another service which was catering services. And yet again I was shut down. I did not give up, I just knew that something had to come out of it. I spoke again to some friends in the oil industry and I was told to ask to be able to supply transportation services for those who are purchasing crude within the country but I was shut down again by the minister.

Civilians Kill 200 Boko Haram Terrorists In Borno attack yesterday

Article written by Dr. Peregrino Brimah for ENDS.ng
The rise of the civilians against terror took the Boko Haram saga to a new turn in the early hours of Tuesday morning when citizens of Rann, headquarters of Kala-Balge local government area, Borno northeast, who had fore-knowledge of an impending Boko Haram attack, decided not to remain sitting ducks but prepared for battle.
According to reports we received from Civilian sources in Borno, over 400 Boko Haram terrorists stormed Rann and neighboring villages in the early hours of Tuesday, with their usual convoy of hilux trucks, motorcycles and APC (Armored Personnel Carriers) only to meet villagers ready for them this time. The civilian villagers pounced on the terrorists with mere rocks, bows and arrows, local Dane guns, swords and “charms,” but as we have earlier reported, Boko Haram are more frightened of Civilian-JTF than they are of the Nigerian army, and run from the civilians even if they - the civilians only have knives

Jay & Solange didn't talk much inside the store ... they pretty much just browsed quietly.

Nigerian businessman Tonye Cole is Kenya More's African prince?

So wait, the MD of Sahara Group and multimillionaire businessman Tonye Cole is Kenya Moore's African prince? We've been wondering for a while who this African prince is (read here) and just yesterday on the Wendy Williams show, Wendy claimed that Kenya's alleged African prince is Mr Cole. Below is what said;
"Many people including me had doubts about this African boyfriend really existing but now we might know who he is. His name is Tonye Cole and he's a Nigerian oil magnate.  He was apparently recently speaking at Harvard University and she was spotted there with him, walking around the campus. There's only one problem though, Kenya girl, you got to close your legs to married men. I'm sorry Kenya. We here at the Wendy show tried to dig deep to get you much information about stories, we checked out his Facebook page, his status and he's married with kids. Although in certain cultures you're allowed to have more than wife and children are all around the place, he's not from here so he might have a different way. But Kenya is from here, why would you settle for that Kenya? I know, he's a prince. I get it. Kenya is 43 so you gotta make that choice real quick.
MediaTakeOut and many other urban sites have also revealed Tonye as Kenya's African prince. Find a pic of Kenya and Tonye Cola at Harvard university sometime last week

Solange deletes all but one pic of Beyoncé from her Instagram page

Solange has deleted all of Beyoncé's pictures from her instagram page leaving only one picture which she uploaded over a year ago that shows herself, Beyonce and a friend in a happy mood. (pic above). Whether she deliberately left the pic on the page or it was an oversight is unclear.
What is also unclear is when exactly Solange removed all the pics. It was definitely after the attack on Jay Z on Monday night but it's not clear if it was before or after the video was released by TMZ yesterday. Some sites are reporting she took them down before we all knew what happened, while some say they observed she took them down immediately after the video was released. Solange has also not tweeted since the video was leaked.

Tunde Bakare says Boko Haram is an American idea, calls out CNN's Isha Sesay, Patience Jonathan, others

During his sermon this past Sunday May 11th, pastor Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly, went hard on the American government and their offer to assist Nigeria to fight Boko Haram.

Watched the video and here's a summary of what he said. According to Bakare, CNN media crew coming to Abuja a few weeks ago to cover the Chibok girls story took him back to a vision God showed him during a conference he had in 2005 at Adebola House in Lagos. He said in the vision, he rode on God's back into former US President Bush's war room and saw the former president plotting on how to destabilize Nigeria. He said he immediately started praying at the conference declaring that Nigeria is not Iraq and that Bush would be burnt in the bush while Condolezza Rice would end up in the cooking pot. He played the video of his preaching in 2005 where he shared the vision to the conference attendees.

GEJ seeks 6 months extension of emergency rule in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa

President Jonathan today May 13th sent a request to the National Assembly seeking an extention of the State of Emergency rule in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states by six months.

In a media chat on May 4th, the president had hinted that there would be an extension of emergency rule in these states since peace has not been restored there.

Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states have witnessed high rates of attacks by Boko Haram and have been placed on emergency rule since May 1st 2013. The new proposed extention if implemented would elapse in November 2014, three months before the general election.

There has been some criticisms in some quarters against the extension. Some people believe the emergency rule earlier implemented had not reduced or stopped the killings in the states and so this new extension would still have no effect.

The National Assembly however has to debate on it before the President can enforce an extension.

A few days after the fight, Beyonce and her sister went to Costa Rica for Kelly Rowland's wedding.

I have a new kind of respect for Jay Z. Did y'all see him pick up the purse Solange threw at him and gave it to her, only for her to use it to attack him again? Happy news! The Lagos State Government has warned residents of the state against taking the laws into their hands, saying the full weight of the law would be brought on people caught engaging in jungle justice, I.e beating, burning or killing any suspect, whether alone or in a mob

In a statement released last Friday, the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Ade Ipaye, said;
"The full weight of the law would be brought to bear on anyone henceforth caught engaging in jungle justice, no matter what the alleged criminal could have done. AGN president Ibinabo Fiberesima finally replies Clarion Chukwura

A few weeks ago, actress Clarion Chukwura, released a statement criticizing Ibinabo Fiberisima's actions as the president of Actors Guild of Nigeria. She later granted a few interviews taking a swipe at Ms Fiberesima. The AGN president has finally responded. See a statement she released this afternoon below...
My Dear Chief Clarion Chukwurah,
I bring you peace and warm felicitation from the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), a Guild that I would like for the purpose of emphasis to re-describe as the only umbrella body for Screen Actors in Nollywood, with a conservative estimate of over five million members spread across 35 states in Nigeria including FCT Abuja.
I bring you greetings from the leadership of a Guild that has in the last two years been repositioned as the pride of its members, Nollywood and the foremost Guild in the continent of Africa.

I was away on a short vacation when my attention was drawn to two publications (one an open letter and the other an interview) credited to your very respected self, where you cast a lot of aspersions on myself and where you resorted, because of your inordinate ambition to become President of the Guild, to feeding the general public with deceit and falsehood.

Ordinarily I would not have replied you openly, because I personally do not join issues with my colleagues- whether junior or senior on the pages of the paper or on social media. Besides, as President, I should be seen to be uniting Members of the Guild and not causing disaffection, as your unfortunate outburst set out to do

Onyeka Onwenu expresses reservations on missing girls, calls out Wole Soyinka

Iconic singer Onyeka Onwenu, who is the current DG of National Centre for Women Development,  was a guest on Channels TV Sunrise programme this morning Monday May 12th where she spoke about the missing Chibok girls. She expressed her reservations about the case and also called out Professor Wole Soyinka for referring to the First Lady as 'that woman' in the interview he had with CNN's Christiane Amanpour.
What am saying is that, is it at this time we have to vilify the person of the First Lady who did the right thing by inviting these people? A lot of that has gone on and I take offense at this even as a woman. When I hear someone like Wole Soyinka referring to her on CNN as that woman, something in me boils because there is a lack of respect for women. This has happened not just with this first lady but with every single first lady and perhaps its when they have passed away or when they've left office that we suddenly realize the contributions that they've made and these women work very hard and care and love this country so it really offends me to see her vilified and I was at those meetings and at no point did she say Oh I don't believe the girls were taken." Ms Onwenu said.
For those who can't watch the video, I transcribed it.

The real Abubakar Shekau is dead - SSS Spokesperson

At a briefing this evening with newsmen in Abuja following the release of a new video by Boko Haram showing kidnapped Chibok girls, spokesperson of the State Security Service (SSS), Ms Marilyn Ogar said the man in the video claiming to be Abubakar Shekau is not really Abubakar Shekau, that the real Shekau who is believed to have founded the dreaded sect, is dead
"Boko Haram has become a franchise, anybody can assume and lay claim to any name. What I know is that the original Abubakar Shekau is dead; the person claiming to be the national leader now is not the original Abubakar Shekau. If security sources tell you that somebody is dead, you don't have to come out and doubt that" she said.
