Agbaje promises to reduce cost of land

The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, says in order to meet the growing demand for accommodation in Lagos State, he will make the cost of land virtually free if elected governor.
Agbaje said this at a fundraising dinner titled, “An evening of interaction and dinner with Jimi Agbaje” in Lagos.

He said Lagos had a housing deficit of over two million and his target was to ensure that at least 200,000 housing units are built yearly.

He said, “We have to encourage housing because Lagos will become a slum if we do not address the issue. Lagos needs over two million housing units and that is an average of getting 200,000 every year. We have to encourage people to invest in housing and that means we have to improve the issue of how you get your construction permits.

President Jonathan: The Beginning of the End of Boko Haram

Adeoye Akinsanya in his book, An introduction to Political Science in Nigeria, reports: “In 1983, when Chadian forces invaded Nigeria in the Borno State, Buhari used the forces under his command to chase them out of the country, crossing into Chadian territory in spite of an order given by then President Shagari to withdraw. This 1983 Chadian military affair led to more than 100 victims and "prisoners of war". Chivalrous as this act may have seemed at the time, it would turn out to be sheer tomfoolery because for a long time, Nigeria would have to deal with a lack-lustre, if not even frosty, relationship with her close regional neighbours.

The Tussle for Lagos; The People Vs The Emperor!

Dear friends, brothers and sisters, we are concerned Lagosians, seeking freedom for all in our dear state.

We have been under a dictatorship that has put us all in bondage politically, economically and socially.

Using our commonwealth, they have developed several propaganda networks to fool us all.
They have bought-over so many editors and journalists, that their lies are widely echoed as truth
They are so rich, engaging in political business with our resources and full of craft,
But they failed to remember that absolute power resides in the people!
Of what use have they been?

·         (HOUSING) They were bold to say; "No low cost cement", when asked to provide low cost housing.

·         (RULE OF LAW) They shunned court orders against an illegal tollgate managed by their private companies. Paid themselves 7.5billion naira taxpayers money as buy back.
