It would be recalled that the unfortunate incident which
happened on September 12, 2014 has generated a lot of controversies. Has
families of the September 12 incident following the collapse of the SCOAN’s
six-storey guest house wherein no fewer than 116 persons died. Have cry out neglect
by the synagogue church of all nation for abandoning them after the burial of their
loves ones
One of the family who speaks on anonymity said
they were only given the sum of five hundred thousand naira to use in burying his
brother and they were ask to fill a form and sign before the money was given to
them “I thank God I have finally burry my brother to rest in peace
after all we went through in getting his body, it was never easy and we went
through a lot at the process. When ask on the support given by TB Joshua during
the burial, he said the man of God supported them in making sure they have a
smooth burial by assisting them in the sum of five hundred thousand naira
through his lawyer and worker of the church and that was the last time they heard
from them, that they stop contacting them after the burial but they use to call
and visit them almost on daily basis before but they have stop now maybe due to
reasons best known to them
One Mr. Sunday who spoke with our correspondent when ask
maybe he felt abandoned by TB Joshua after the burial of his cousin said yes,
that the synagogue promise them heaven and earth during the incident and
prophet TB Joshua himself promise to elevate their life from their current
situation when he addresses them and that was the first and last time prophet TB
Joshua address them, when ask what are the promises been made by prophet TB Joshua,
he said the man of God promise to send their children to good school even
abroad, to get them good accommodation even if it takes to build a house for
them each, that we should not worry because they are family now, that if he can
help people he don’t known what will he now do to people whose love ones,
father, mother and children died in his church, that he is going to make sure
he sees to all their needs in life but today shows those promises were empty
after the day they buried his cousin and they have stop communication with them
since, but they were all given five hundred thousand naira to buried their love
ones. When ask maybe he also fill a form and sign before given that money he
said yes that they all did.
While some of the affected family says all they pray for in order
to put their mind to rest is the coroner probing the incident to tell them what
really collapse the September 12 synagogue building, that is the only thing
that make interest to them while they also beg the founder of the synagogue
church of all nation to keep to his promise and not to act otherwise
