Agbaje Bemoans Doctors’ Strike, Raps Fashola
The Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
for Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, has bemoaned the on-going strike by
Medical Doctors in the employment of the state government.
Calling for a truce between striking doctors under the aegis of the Medical Guild and the state government, Agbaje restated the call for Governor Babatunde Fashola to pay the medical practitioners three months withheld salaries.
He reasoned that it was most uncharitable for government to look the other way while lives were being lost due to series of avoidable strikes by doctors in the last one year.
According to him, no matter government’s position regarding the strike, it ought to consider the interest of Lagosians, on behalf of whom it holds public office in trust.

for a

bent in respect or whatever courtesy she felt she was extending is
wrong. Do you see anything wrong with this picture?

Speaking on the ban, the state Attorney-general and Commissioner for justice, Ade Ipaye, said the state government was not satisfied with the court ruling and would be appealing it
"We are, of course, not satisfied with that decision of the federal high court looking at the density of Lagos being the highest population in Nigeria.
This exercise and our sanitation programme in general have made Lagos the envy of other states, many of whom have sent their officials to understudy it. We strongly believe that it is a necessary rule in a society such as ours. We are therefore filing an appeal immediately.” he said

The Tussle for Lagos; The People Vs The Emperor!
Dear friends, brothers and sisters, we are concerned
Lagosians, seeking freedom for all in our dear state.
We have been under a dictatorship that has put us
all in bondage politically, economically and socially.
Using our commonwealth, they have developed several
propaganda networks to fool us all.
They have bought-over so many editors and
journalists, that their lies are widely echoed as truth
They are so rich, engaging in political business
with our resources and full of craft,
But they failed to remember that absolute power
resides in the people!
Of what use
have they been?
·
(HOUSING) They were bold to say; "No low cost cement", when
asked to provide low cost housing.
·
(RULE OF LAW) They shunned court orders
against an illegal tollgate managed by their private companies. Paid themselves
7.5billion naira taxpayers money as buy back.

Jeering crowd urges suicidal man to jump - before he fell to his death
Where's our humanity for goodness sake? Why encourage someone to kill
themselves? A jeering crowd urged a suicidal man in his 40s, to 'jump'
before the man plunged to his death from a multi-storey car park on
Saturday March 14th and many of them filmed the incident on their mobile
phones
Some people were heard saying impatiently, "Get on with it", "Go on, jump,". This happened at the Southwater shopping centre in Telford, Shrops. The man was on the rooftop for about 2 hours before finally falling to his death after being taunted. The police were around when the incident happened.
Police say they are now considering prosecuting the people who taunted the man and encouraged him to jump after thousands of people signed a petition demanding they identify and prosecute them.

Switzerland to return $380million Abacha loot to Nigeria
The Swiss government has concluded plans to return $380 million to
Nigeria, which is part of money stashed in Swiss banks by former
dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha while he was in power.
Geneva prosecutors said today Tuesday March 17th that they ordered the money seized in Luxembourg starting in 2006 & was officially confiscated last year following an agreement between Nigeria and the Abacha family under which FG dropped its case against Abacha's son, Abba Abacha.
Switzerland has previously returned to Nigeria more than $700 million that Abacha stashed in Swiss accounts. If the Swiss government makes this new cash return, it would bring the total amount of Abacha's loot returned so far to $1.080 billion.
