A prediction of nigeria @2015

Beny was so excited that she was going to see Tade after a long time of being apart. He went for his youth service in the North and he had warned her never to come except he told her it was safe to. Not because he did anything shady but because he wanted to be sure there was no crises in the northern states within the time she was coming especially kano state where he was redeployed to serve. Within the first two months Tade tried to adjust to his new life, he found the village he was, very dirty, mud houses everywhere, flies buzzing allover the place and even entering someone's mouth while wide awake. "The weather is always hot baby" he complained one day when he had to go to town to give her a call
"I'm so dehydrated no matter how much water I drink...which is hardly ever available" he continued as he rolled his eyes. " Baby are you sure you don't want me around to keep you sane before you go insane" she replied with sarcasm but seriously. "You want me to go more insane then, cause you know I'll have to pay attention to you besides your parents would not like the idea of you coming down here, then again I don't want you experiencing this, baby. I'll definitely manipulate your posting. Wish I did mine but I just wanted an experience outside the usual you know? And..." He paused, concern and regret written in his voice "and now you're facing the consequences of your choice. Baby don't worry, I trust you, is it not you, you'l be fine eventually noow" she said with enthusiasm trying to raise his hopes.it worked!
" I heard about the killings and also watched it on the news...I listen to the radio and watch the news virtually everyday since you left for camp" she told him while on his bed cuddling, during the two weeks break after camp.
"Yeah honey but thank God for those northern soldiers, they are like the toughest soldiers ever, they made sure nobody stepped outta camp and if there was an urgent need to they divided us up into groups with two soldiers attached to us"
"Wow, really?" She asked surprisedly while playing with his hair
"Yeah baby" he replied, also fondling her fingers.
"So tell me what to expect when I'm done"
"Well" he said propping the pillow properly under his head and adjusting to place her head on his chest."The NYSC camp is filled with diverse people from diverse schools from all over the state and comprises of the married and unmarried, mature and immature, the..."He began but she interrupted him with a tap on his shoulder.
"I didn't say compose an essay, share your adventure duh!"
He laughed "Okay okay...but can't we just do this instead" he replied starting to kiss and tickle her and she laughing and wrestling to be free.

And now it was safe for her to come, she trailed off thinking about him and browsing through their pictures together on her phone when other passengers in the bus started raising their voices in protest and agitation. "Όh no this is why I don't like boarding buses...wish I had just listened to Tade when he asked me to pick a flight" she thought. When she could not take the noise anymore she asked the woman carrying a baby beside her what was happening, she appeared not to be disturbed. "You nor hear wetin them announce for radio?"
"I nor hear"
"They announce say by next year 2015 people wey be igbo go join themself, people wey be yoruba go join themself and hausa go join themself...they call am revolution"
Beny panicked...that mean say people wey dey serve for other state suppose dey comot now now"
"Na so them talk ό, wetin happen, you look like hausa now why you dey sweat like this?" She asked as Beny went into her panic attack.
"So you mean the much talked about revolution  by former president obasanjo, that seer that prophecied about it...uhm....uhm..."she stuttered as she tried to remember the name and shouted it just as it struck her "Babatunde Elijah, he said Nigeria would break up into four or five states by 2015" she reccounted to no one in particular but those within ear shot heard her.
"Its true my sister" replied a younger lady sitting in front of her. The bus was an eighteen sitter bus and everyone could hear everyone except when someone was talking on a very low volume.
"Even ehn...gen Muhammed Buhari former head of state also foresaw. He. Mentioned it during his speech in the cpc political party manifesto " replied the lady. "Only that it can't affect married people, this world is turning into something else and imagine it’s just two months to the end of this year already" she added, causing Beny more panic attack, at this point she needed to ease herself, the perspiration was much and she felt really dehydrated.
"Driverrrr, driver please stop, I need to ease myself" as soon as she stepped down she started crying while she eased herself but she didn't feel any better even after the bus started moving.
She began to think of how she would be separated from Tade and the tears she had been sniffing back bagan to drop uncontrollably but without her awareness.

"Aunty please take heart, I know say na hard tin but..." She gave a sigh of frustration and continued "it is well sha"

Tade was waiting for her at the bus park and when she noted her from afar walking like the queen she was to him. "Oh Lord I adore this girl" he said as his face lit up in a smile and he walked up to meet her, when she saw him she started running towards him, tears smile all over her face. Tade picked up his pace and her box dropped to the floor as he lifted her off the floor with a spin.
"O honey I've missed you so much he said" he told her
"I have missed you too baby" she replied "I wish we would be together forever" she added sadly.
"How do you mean, he asked, now putting her on the ground.
"You haven't been listening to the news for the past few years about foresights on revolution in Nigeria?" She asked with surprise and pain
"Oh that" he said and laughed they are all kidding my dear" he continued, in a reassuring voice.
"Listen to me" she said, fear written all over her voice. "It was announced over the radio in d bus and the announcement will go on till it finally takes place next year" " 2015 is just next year" she suddenly added with eyes reflecting despair
